Perhaps GG works at GHOST too, if we want her to be encountered in the building, but not appear clingy? I'm sure that the organization would benefit from having personell who are on the other side.

Should ghosts in need of matchmaking have more difficult personalities, and disagree with you more, do you think? Inwardly, they want to be paired, right?- thats why they're in the GHOST service in the first place, so certainly the first few might not be too horrifically disagreeable.

Talking to ghosts on your own could happen a lot more often as the story progresses, however when you're still a newbie in the business, you're going to have someone standing by. It seems illogical to just dump you out there on your own to negotiate with the gloomy dead.
Heh! Yeah! Oh man that thing about not needing dating and being out of their jurisdiction is a really cool idea! I totally want to turn that into an actual scenario.

And, you might be thrust into a world of negotiating with the gloomy dead. That would cause conflict, right? Either by unusual circumstance, or sheer neglect (GOATS is loose with this stuff, rmemeber?) Protagonist is left to do a mission on her own. Lets the Reader learn about the process without being told directly, sets us up to write some lighthearted slapstick stuff. Maybe she worries a lot over an inconsequential decision (haha, meta), maybe someone even comes to her aid eventually, or maybe she messes things up and something bad happens.

Hmm.... I can't decide whether it should be that the agency searches for them, or that they get in touch with the agency themselves.
Possibly a combination, depending on the ghosts? I imagine, because theres such a thing as a death certificate and register, that there would be a national archive of the dead, including details such as whether they've moved on or not. Ghosts that haven't been moved on, after a while, get contacted by these agencies (similar to how employment agencies contact people who have been unemployed for a while in Australia).
So, like, they can come to GHOST of their own accord, but also GHOST has the responsibility of searching out those who might not come, but are thought to require matchmaking.
Does that sound like a reasonable mix of the two ideas, or is it too complicated?

Haha yeahhhhh Those three ghost examples have a triangle going on, sortof as part of the character shoutout- thats what happened in the game while we were playing xD

I'm totally up for that idea about being put straight out there on your own. It sounds good, and will probably draw the players in a bit more instead of just dawdling along getting their hand held.

This makes sense.

Cool, because that gives us the flexibility to have ghosts who are date desperate, all the way across the scale to dangerously disagreeable. Woot.

I was thinking, to make it easier on the artists, should we have a basic ghost 'look' and have changing personalities, but not massively different physical features?
Is that a good idea, or do you reckon it will make the story be like 'pair the blobs'

But I think if you're giving them personalities, and making references to other characters, you want them to have their own portrait-set.

That's what we should be doing everywhere! How do you feel about shipping your shoutout ghosts with other groups? Like, that way they're spread out...
Just asking, because that's what I thought it was going to be like, at first. But if not, that's ok too, we just have to make the other ghosts sort of match them in name/dress style.

Really, I'm just drawing on them for characters because I already know how they work/they have strong personalities as far as I can tell, it will attract a few fans, and I don't have to go through and fill out 1215263547 different character skeletons.
Admittedly, shoutouts are partially because I'm lazy and have a bank of characters already accessible. But thats fairly bad writing technique ;__;
